As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve and a new normal of social distancing takes hold, we wanted to share some guidelines on leveraging eClaims for virtual consultations and appointments.
eClaims can be used for virtual services 1.
•
Only the following professionals can submit claims for virtual consultations: Physiotherapist, Optometrist, Dietitian, Naturopathic Doctor, Psychologist, Speech Language Pathologist, Physical Rehabilitation Therapist
•
Only offer virtual consults for the services approved by your college or governing body
•
Select your primary practice location as the servicing location when submitting a claim for virtual services
•
Participating eClaims insurers are treating claims for virtual services in the same way as physical visits. If you experience an issue with a submitted claim, please contact the insurer directly. Insurer contact information is available on our eClaims resources page
•
For information on what technology to use for virtual services, please refer to your provincial health authority
Hope you're staying safe and healthy during this challenging time.
Sincerely,
Your eClaims team
